A Course Correction for Rising Tides 2026

One of the themes of Rising Tides has always been thoughtful leadership. Sometimes thoughtful leadership means pressing forward. Sometimes it means recognizing when a little more time will lead to a stronger outcome.

After much discussion, prayer, and reflection, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone Rising Tides: Mission That Matters until late May or early June of 2027.

This wasn’t an easy decision. We have been incredibly encouraged by the response to Rising Tides over the past several months. We’ve connected with students searching for their calling, practitioners eager to invest in the next generation, churches committed to strengthening their partnerships, and organizations passionate about doing meaningful work around the world. That excitement has only reaffirmed our belief that this conference is needed.

At the same time, we’ve realized that the vision for Rising Tides deserves more time. As planning continued, we encountered scheduling and logistical challenges that would have made it difficult to give this gathering the focus and attention it deserves. Rather than rushing to launch a conference that fell short of our vision, we’ve chosen to invest the time necessary to build the experience we believe this community deserves.

The good news is that we’re not starting over—we’re building on a strong foundation. The relationships we’ve formed, the conversations we’ve begun, and the incredible group of speakers, organizations, and partners who’ve come alongside this vision have created tremendous momentum. We believe Rising Tides will be even stronger because of this additional time.

In the coming months, we’ll be posting on this new Rising Tides website all about the conference. Our hope is to build a year-round community where people passionate about missions, global health, international development, and partnership can continue learning, sharing resources, and building relationships together.

We’ll announce our official 2027 conference dates by mid-July, and we sincerely hope you’ll continue this journey with us.

Thank you for believing in this vision. The tide may be coming in a little later than we planned—but we believe it’s bringing something even stronger with it.
